Am I Too PC?

Alright bloggers I need your help.
If I was to get a laptop (and I want one) convince me why I should get a Mac or a PC. I am not that computer tech savvy, so to me it makes no difference. I don't need one for anything specific. I am not a graphic design nut, or a gaming freak; I use the computer for Internet travels, blogging, uploading pictures...typical stuff.
Share with me why you love/hate your PC or Mac. I'm not one to follow ship just because... so tell me why I should. What's the major differences between the two? Does one do my dishes? Can I program my DVR from one? Will Paul Walker personally deliver it to my door? Or is it just personal preference? Dell does have some cool looking notebook options, and that touch screen HP looks awesome (but a bit pricey for what I want a laptop for)...so dish! See if you can persuade me to your side!

I just like whatever I am used too. Had PCs growing up, macs now (hubbies family likes em) personally I think they all do the same stuff. MACs are just "cool" so everyone likes em. Go with what you know.

I agree with Erin that Macs are cool...but not just "cool." I personally prefer them to PC's a million percent and I too grew up on PC's. I've used both a lot and prefer not only the look of a Mac, but how user friendly it is. Seriously I'm not super tech savvy either and I can find my way around a Mac so easily. My rule on a Mac is if you want to make something do what you want then just drag it there. Seriously 9 out of 10 issues can be solved by a simple drag and drop. Love it. I also love the way it automatically organizes your photos, it's i-Movie program is super easy to use with zero training, and the i-calendar links up to your i-pod or i-phone. Although the best testament to a Mac for me is the fact that my mother, who is tech retarded (sorry Mom) can create beautiful photo books and personalized cards on her Mac via i-photo....all by herself! I'm telling you if my mom can figure out a Mac then it has to be EASY! I'm a huge Mac fan.

Good luck!

PS I meant to say everyone thinks macs are so cool, but it is just a trend. I think either one works well, just depends on what you are used too. I hated switching to a mac, but now that I can use it, its ok.

yeah you probably already knew what I was saying, but anyway! :)

And T still doesnt have any teeth? How crazy is that?! Its so funny how different every baby is. :)

PPS did you cut your hair? Its really cute!

At this moment Jared is working on his PC laptop and I'm on his Mac laptop. I don't like the Mac at all!!! I always get stuck with it because the other is so much better and Jared calls the shots. It's better than nothing, but for the things I do online, I would much rather have his PC than this piece (it is actually a decent computer, I just don't like the features). I think it's just because I grew up with PC's. I can't right click on a Mac and that drives me crazy! I think the PC is more user friendly. But then again, that's probably because I know it better. Good luck!

I'm with you Mel, I don't know a thing. But I do know that with every laptop I get I end up cussing at in some form at some point. I think you will love what ever you get and will the most out of it. Although for my next laptop/PC I think we are going for the apple :-)

I use both: one at work and one at home. PC sucks. I switched to a MAC at home because my PC was crap and had virus after virus. Since having a MAC I have had up problems. My PC at work is brutal. Super slow. I like the programs are awesome on a MAC. It's like anything though, you have to learn about it to understand it. Plus, from what I understand vista is brutal. I also just found out that for 99/year the people at the apple store will teach you whatever you want an hour per week. Anyway, good luck with your decision.
