Taking Time Out to Laugh

I usually keep this blog for my random thoughts, likes, complaints...general oddities, but I thought I would share this one with everyone instead of the few that just peek in on the kids blog.
This week we learned that sometimes you just have to be silly, even if it makes you look silly.
And that is what we did a couple of nights ago.  It started out innocently enough with a little one making a mess with her snack, but then we all joined and had a very, very, very good laugh.

And the one that made me almost pee my pants...
Here's to more belly busting, laugh out loud, fall down on the floor, almost pee your pants laughter!
(and just so no one gets grossed out, it's just chocolate icing from the brownies I made!)

Fond Memories

Today is a day I look back over that last entry and sigh.  I should post pictures of those same rooms today, but I am afraid of showing the world what the house usually looks like!  And no, I am not exaggerating.  I am not one of those SAHM's who says her house is a disaster because the baseboards have dust on them.  Baseboards? I am supposed to clean those?  It always amazes me how long it takes to clean, yet how short a time it takes for the tornado to hit.  Sort of like those awesome Sunday dinners that take 5 hours to cook and 4.5 seconds to devour.  There needs to be a balance.  If the house is spotless and it took 5 hours to get it that way, it should be able to stay that way for at least 48 hours. Instead, it takes 5 hours to clean and about 20 minutes to destroy.  I'd give up completely and just let it be, but A&E has Hoarders and TLC has Hoarding:Buried Alive.  I know we would eventually wind up on one of those shows.  I would just tell people we collect things, we don't hoard.  At least there wouldn't be moldy pumpkins and rotting roasts in the freezer.
